¯_(ツ)_/¯ (concerto di fine estate per Eugene Goostman)
Enrico Boccioletti
September 07, 2019

The unexpressed potential and the possibility of using the place for a different purpose led the artist to find the inspiration for this artistic research. A research that deepens a work made in space, and, above all, with space.

¯_(ツ)_/¯ (concerto di fine estate per Eugene Goostman) (̄¯_(ツ)_/¯ (end-of-summer concert for Eugene Goostman)), is a project conceived and realised by Enrico Boccioletti that brings into the field an experience that involves not only sight, but also all the other senses, guiding the public inside the exhibition space in an unconventional way.

Eugene Goostman is a chat bot designed in 2001 by three Russian programmers in St Petersburg, designed to impersonate a 13-year-old Ukrainian teenager. On 7 June 2014, it became famous as the first software to have “passed” the Turing test (a criterion suggested by Alan Turing in 1950 to determine whether a machine can think), convincing 33% of the jury to think it was a human being.
