Sicilia Orientale
curated with Gaia Bobò, in partnership with Untitled Association
2021 – 2022

Sicilia Orientale was an in-progress mapping project that took shape for two editions in 2021 and 2022.
It was conceived as a hybrid platform aimed at systemising the spaces of the Sicilian east coast territory dedicated to contemporary art, aimed at intercepting the ferment of the realities that contribute to the territory's cultural vitality.
The project was aimed at enhancing the most interesting cultural initiatives by promoting them at an international level, thanks to the strategic positioning of the project promoter, Untitled Association. Sicilia Orientale offered itself as an opportunity to rethink the dynamics of accessibility of contemporary art outside the orbit of the official circuits, promoting the research of independent and/or structured realities.
The project was curated by Gaia Bobò, Giulia Caruso and Maria Vittoria di Sabatino.
